Hi friends,

Determinedly, deliberately — Monica Hogan Danceworks has been rebuilding. Following nearly a decade of work in New York City, reestablishing permanent residency in Atlanta, GA has had a tentative but optimistic start surrounding the challenges of the COVID pandemic. In the fall of 2021, we began to revisit the creative process, held auditions, and started to build a company of outstanding local talent. We even returned to our first live performances.

And now, we are thrilled to announce: we've made a show! Resilient Paradise and Other Works is making its way to the stage this fall at Emory University. This marks the company's first full-length production in Atlanta, GA. The program features the ATL debut of Resilient Paradise, reimagined on the new, all-local cast of Atlanta company dancers, along with other new and existing company repertory.

Collectively, our artists have put in hundreds of hours into making this creative project a reality. We're talking blood, sweat, tears, smiles, slap-happy hysterical laughter, and a lot of knee bruises...and it's been worth every moment.

Now, we need your help. It would mean the world if you would consider making a donation to our fundraiser campaign.

Contributions to this campaign support production costs and, most importantly, pay our artists who have dedicated so much time to bring this show to fruition. Whether it's $5 or $500, every little bit truly counts and no donation is too small. You can back the campaign at any donation amount. There are also some perk package options including complimentary tickets to the show, MHDW swag, and more.

Following the past couple of years of limitations and uncertainty surrounding studio rehearsals and live performance — words can't describe how great it has felt to step back into the studio with this creative team. We can't wait to share this work with you.

With gratitude,

Monica + the MHDW Team
